 Congratulations to Matthew Flinders Anglican School to  winning the inaugural 2018 Anglican Schools eSports Exhibition! The competition was held on the 28th November at the QUT Arena, Australia’s first university gaming arena. Congratulations to all participating teams you were all truly wonderful ambassadors for your school! 

The cheering, the laughter, the teamwork, the resilience in defeat and the good sportsmanship both online and also in the real world. A great day! 

Additional Information

 

Teams not only competed in three different popular, age appropriate, games they were introduced to the wider aspects of esports. Teams were introduced to possible pathways to career and tertiary development at the university.  

Students were introduced to practical the application of psychology in player and team management as well as the need for ICT skills  in network administration, programming to multimedia streaming and sports casting. 


St Luke’s school watched in the school library back in Bundaberg.

At the end of the competition team captains spoke to the group about what they had learned and highlighted positives from the day (initially published as Anglican Schools Esports Exhibition QUT 2018 on the 30 November 2018 ).
