While the esports industry is in a rush to grow we are taking calculated and measured steps to ensure the best outcomes for our participants. Our competition has grown to 16 schools and we can accommodate up to 24 in its current format. Our focus is on student participation and development.
The Anglican Schools Commission (ASC) is committed to connecting students and teachers to developmental opportunities and well-being initiatives. The ASC is putting into practise the Principles of Child Safe Organisations 8 (b) and the School Online Safety Educational Framework, to minimise risk, promote safety, promote student's rights, and to connect to real world opportunities.
QUT launched Australia's first university esports program in 2017 with a purpose-built esports arena at our Gardens Point campus.
We are positioned as the leader in the Australian esports industry, providing a pathway from amateur to professional participation in all aspects of the esports scene.
Our purpose built arena is Australia’s first university gaming arena. The arena is at the heart of the program and positions QUT as the industry leader in Australian esports.
The league has grown to 16 schools and we can accommodate up to 24 teams. Why? Because we want to ensure standards are kept and maximise the benefits for students, increase participants skill levels, and connect to higher education opportunities.
